Quick review of February and March

I’ve been amazingly busy the start of this year. With two work projects on the go and a lot of coursework to complete I spent a lot of my time throughout February and March sat in my room working. It’s now all paying off though, I’ve got high expectations that I’ve done well in my first year of University and also managed to complete projects within the time scales set.
My first project was working on a leaflet and DVD cover for the Garden Science Trust – they have been developing a film with Shelly Telly, People First of Norfolk and scientists from the Institute of Food Research to help and educate people with learning difficulties about healthy eating. My brief was plain: create an engaging but clear leaflet to carry out their intentions. At this point I took the decision not to bombard the intended audience with fancy graphics but keep it very simple – but with a focus on clearly illustrated pictures.
This is the inside of the leaflet I designed. I illustrated all the pictures myself and worked closely with Sheila Mathias to make sure it was what they wanted.
The second project was designing a poster, banner and logo for an event being staged at Flegg High School – Do Something Different – a family learning day which would be sent out to Flegg’s extended school network. After creating a number of logo’s with Geoff Ballington I then went about creating a banner and poster for the event. Below are just some of the work I developed for the event.
